Chief Minister NWFP Muhammad Akram Khan Durrani who called on Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi discussed National Finance Commission Award (NFCA) and collective operations on law and order between two provinces, on Sunday.
Chief Ministers of both the provinces agreed that in order to increase the pace of development in the country, share of provinces in the National Finance Commission Award should be increased.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi stated that provinces could only properly cater to the demands of effective economic planning including reduction in poverty, unemployment if additional financial sources were allocated to them.
Chief Minister Punjab stated that a unified formula on acceptance of National Finance Commission Award was being finalised between the provinces. 'A Unified operation to arrest criminals in border districts of both the provinces have commenced', he added.
