Commodities on the wholesale markets moved with snails' pace owing to untoward developments during the week ended May 29. However, variations were noted in sugar, gur, hide and skins, milk powder, raw rubber, yellow peas and dal (gram) new, rapeseed, cakes, and cotton-cakes.
String begin with milk powder showed such as green valley up by Rs 100 to Rs 3,700, sweetened King up Rs 25 to Rs 1,575, raw rubber from Ceylon RSSV up Rs 4.75 to Rs 49, Pale craps, TPC up Rs 5 to Rs 52, Latex Thai (GT) up Rs 25 to Rs 375.
KIRANA ITEMS: black pepper from Vietnam down Rs 25 to Rs 4275, big cardamom down Rs 100 to Rs 9,800, cloves down Rs 200 to Rs 8,200, cumminseed down Rs 10 to Rs 3,400 and darchini up Rs 50 to Rs 2,625, white pepper down Rs 200 to Rs 7,400, sugar down Rs 50 to Rs 1,125, aniseed down Rs 200 to Rs 4,600, and darchini down Rs 75 to Rs 2550, black pepper from Singapore down Rs 100 to Rs 4,100, black pepper from Vietnam down Rs 100 to Rs 4,175, nutmeg down Rs 200 to Rs 9,600, and cloves down Rs 200 to Rs 8,000.
Sugar faced fluctuation that was incomprehensible. It, however, opened the week at Rs 1,630 and better at Rs 1,670, but closed sharply higher inferior at Rs 1,730 and Rs 1,765, gur was quoted inferior at Rs 1,200 and better at Rs 1,900.
Cotton cakes was earlier shown at Rs 530 and Rs 532 later it was quoted down at Rs 425 and Rs 430.
Grams yellow peas down Rs 20 to Rs 1,550 and better down Rs 10 to Rs 1,850, dal yellow peas up Rs 10 to Rs 1,710 and better up Rs 20 to Rs 1,740, gram new quoted earlier at Rs 1,600 and better at Rs 1,700, while it was later shown inferior at Rs 1,670 and better at Rs 1,710, Juwar inferior down Rs 10 to Rs 840, and beter quoted at Rs 950.
Rapeseed cakes inferior down at Rs 250 and Rs 255, rapeseeds Nawabshah lost Rs 5 to Rs 775 and rapeseeds Dadu shed Rs10 to Rs 690 and better down Rs 40 to Rs 710.
Plastic moldings polypropylene injection grade India down 75 paisa to Rs 34.87, copoly block up 50 paisa to Rs 37 and ABS polylac 707 up Rs 15 to Rs 2,065 and Khumo up Rs 10 to Rs 2,060.
FRIDAY RATES: Chemicals N.J. Masoor imported up Rs 150 to Rs 3,000 and better up the same amount to Rs 3,100, Masoor dal imported inferior up Rs 100 to Rs 3,400, and better up the same amount to Rs 3,500, guwar inferior down Rs 10 to Rs 930, and better the same amount at Rs 940.
Cotton cakes new quoted at Rs 520, and better down Rs 5 to Rs 525, guwar all stations inferior down Rs 15 to Rs 1,315 and beter lost the same amount to Rs 1,335.
