French wheat prices continued to slip on Friday, pulled lower by the drop in US wheat futures and good weather in Europe with mild temperatures and rain forecast for the coming days, traders said.
BY 1430 GMT the November contract, the only one traded, was down 0.50 euro at 115.50 euros a tonne on Euronext milling wheat futures in hefty volume of 584 lots.
On the cash market wheat delivered in Rouen from July to December was stable to slightly lower at 113.50-114 euros depending on silos, from 114 euros on Thursday.
French weather forecaster Meteo France expected rains that had hit the north-east to move slowly to the rest of the country over the weekend and early next week.
Old crop wheat delivered to Rouen in the first half of June was down one euro and bid at 121 euros, still pressured by the arrival of what is expected to be a bumper crop this year.
