Pak-Kuwait Managing Director Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi has been awarded internationally recognised "Outstanding CEO Award" for 2004 bestowed by the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and Pacific (ADFIAP).
It is indeed an honour for Pakistan and candid recognition of the country's human talent, a press release issued by Pak-Kuwait on Tuesday said.
The "Outstanding CEO Award" is given to a chief executive officer whose singular talent leadership, vision and achievement, in the judgment of the Awards Board, stands out among the other nominees for the award.
It assesses the stature of the individual, the positive effect that the person's leadership has had on his or her institution, and the impact of his or her decisions have had on the development banking profession, the press release added.
According to the press release, ADFIAP is the largest and most prestigious organisation of its kind in Asia and the Pacific with 65 members in 30 countries, which includes India, China, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Kazakhstan, etc., with member institutions like ICICI India, Development Bank of China, Development Bank of Japan, Industrial Development Bank of India, Korea Development Bank, Bank Industri and Teknologi, Malaysia and similar other developed finance institution of Asia-Pacific region.
On an annual basis ADFIAP recognises and honours ADFIAP member-banks, which have instituted projects that have created a developmental impact in their respective countries. It consists of both institutional and individual awards.
The Institutional Awards recognises and honours a member-bank that has been found to implement or enhance outstanding and innovative development projects during the year. Pak-Kuwait is also a winner in the category of Corporate Governance for 2004.-PR
