NWFP Assembly admits motion on rocket attacks

The Frontier Assembly here during Thursday proceeding admitted an adjournment motion for discussion on recent rocket attacks in Peshawar.
Abdul Akbar Khan, parliamentary leader of the PPPP in the Frontier assembly and Pir Mohammad Khan of the MMA presented their motions of identical nature in the NWFP Assembly, which was admitted for discussion unanimously.
Earlier, explaining their points, Abdul Akbar Khan said the rocket attacks had created disturbance and fear amongst the people of the NWFP particularly, Peshawar.
He said dictators always confronted people of the country to prolong their rule on the cost of the public.
He hinted that the Wana operation was launched to please US Secretary of State Collin Powell during his recent visit to Pakistan, saying all the military generals had run the country as per their policy.
He said Mujahideen (foreigners fighting armed forces in Wana), and a generals were being declared terrorists by the other general.
He warned the government that recent rocket attacks was an indication that they could target the cities, and all the places particularly the residences of 'high valued' people, saying this was a message for the public as well, which would persuade them to rise against their government for conducting such operations in tribal belt and would pay, otherwise.
Pir Mohammad Khan of MMA backed his plea and said this was a clear message for rulers and people, and the government should plan to combat such attacks.
Later, the treasury and opposition benches put their weight behind the motion, and unanimously adopted for discussion.
