Egypt's Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (SIIC) sold 36,000 tonnes of sugar molasses for $55 per tonne FOB for shipment between March 20 and May 15 from Alexandria port, a company official said on Wednesday.
The official told Reuters SIIC sold 6,000 tonnes of molasses to United Molasses, 18,000 tonnes to Schuurmans and van Ginneken, 6,000 tonnes to LeSaffre and 6,000 tonnes to Toepfer.
SIIC said in February it was seeking to sell 36,000 tonnes of cane molasses in six cargoes, each of 6,000 tonnes, to one or several bidders.
