An accountability court granted physical remand of three senior officials of Bank of Punjab (BoP) including Chaudhry Younas former Vice President, Masood Ahmad Sheikh former General Manager (Finance) and Dr Asif Hafeez Sheikh bank's ex-group Executive Director (Admn).
The court also granted physical remand of a director of a private company Inbisatul Hasan. All the accused have been facing the charges of corruption and indulging in corrupt practices.
The accused were charged with of sending bank's shares of 68 million of rupees in Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited to M/S Sakhawat Hussain Bokhari (Pvt) Limited along with blank verified transfer deeds and also illegally listing the company as their agents for brokerage.
In this way they aided and abetted the private company to misappropriate 68 million of rupees of the bank.
