imageKARACHI: Five ships C.V Suez Conal, M.T Globe Tonia, M.T Asian Glory and M.V Pozeh Wisdom carrying containers, KPG, palm oil and coke were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, SSGC Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile two more ships C.V CCNI Arauco and M.T Turk Gaz carrying containers and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was observed at the port at 67% on Thursday where a total of ten ships namely, C.V Suez Canal, C.V CMA CGM Amazon, C.V Maersk Salalah, M.V Alam Mutiara, M.V Pazeh Wisdom, M.V Ikan Bawal, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Globe Tania, M.T Asian Glory and M.T Asmaa were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, coke, soya bean seeds, LPG, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Chemicals carrier Atlantic Glory sailed out to sea on Friday, while two more ships, Container Vessel Suez Canal and oil tanker Asmaa are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Four ships C.V CCNI Arauco, C.V Huogo Schulte, M.T B.W Amazon and M.T Truk Gaz carrying containers, 59,268 tonnes diesel oil and 1,710 tonnes LPG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and SSGC Terminal respectively on Friday, while chemical scarier Khankendy is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day and three more ships M.V Da Yu Xia, C.V MSC Al-Ghero, C.V Nicoline Maersk are due to arrive on Saturday, and four more ships C.V Lioyd Don Carlos, C.V Caster-N, M.T Shalamar and M.T Okyroe are due to arrive on Sunday.
