The movement remained sluggish on the commodity wholesale markets where wheat, sugar and makai were subjected to fluctuations more than once during the week ended on February 14, 2004.
Overall trend depicted mixed sentiment. The sugar prices showed downward trend, inferior lost Rs 25 to Rs 1615 while better shed Rs 30 to Rs 1630, makai lost anguish to be last quoted inferior at Rs 735 and better at Rs 740, gur was quoted down at Rs 1100 and better at Rs 1550 and Khandsari Rs 100 to Rs 1700 and better quoted at Rs 1900.
Wheat fluctuated twice and was last quoted at Rs 1140 and better quoted at Rs 1150, yellow peas up by Rs 20 to Rs 1450, and better quoted at Rs 1480, dal yellow peas up Rs 45 to Rs 1550 and better at Rs 1580.
Beetle chana I up Rs 20 to Rs 1480, and better quoted at Rs 1510, beetle chana up Rs 10 to Rs 1480, and better quoted at Rs 1510, beetle dal rose by Rs 75 to Rs 1750 and better quoted at Rs 1780, gram new (Monday) up Rs 10 to Rs 1460, better gained same amount to Rs 1490.

Til Sindh inferior up Rs 50 to Rs 1650 and better quoted higher at Rs 1900, cotton cakes up Rs 5 to Rs 450, Guwar was higher all stations last quoted at Rs 1320 and better up Rs 50 to Rs 1550, basmati 385 quoted at Rs 2400.
PLASTIC MOULDINGS POLYSTYRENE: BASF and Pakistani both were quoted higher at Rs 2214, high impact Pak products were quoted higher at Rs 2276 and ABS polylac 707 down Rs 40 to Rs 1950 and Khumo down Rs 30 to Rs 1930.
