Tokyo rubber futures rose on Thursday on technical buying spurred by rises in overseas prices.

Tokyo rubber futures rose on Thursday on technical buying spurred by rises in overseas prices.
The benchmark July 2004 rubber contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange settled up 2.9 yen per kg at 144.6 yen.
Other months rose by 1.3 to 2.8 yen.
Turnover in Tocom rubber was estimated at 7,325 lots, compared with 3,780 on Tuesday and 4,923 lots on Monday.
