District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has appealed the Laborites to join hands with the City District Government for keeping up cleanliness, maintaining law and order and ensuring uninterrupted supply of water, power and other civic services in the provincial metropolis on the happy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
He has urged the people, especially the youth, for acting as responsible and law-abiding citizens during these vacations and taking care of the comfort and safety of others.
He has asked them to refrain from kite flying with metal wire, chemical twine and string in order to avoid loss of precious lives, damage to electric installations and domestic appliances and other untoward incidents.
Mian Amer Mahmood informed the citizens that a complaint cell has been set up for registering and rectifying public complaints regarding cleanliness in the city. A three-digit telephone help line 139 has been set up in the central office of Solid Waste Management for this purpose.
