The people of Hyderabad will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with traditional enthusiasm, festivity and religious fervour on February 2 like the people of other parts of the country.
The Eid congregations will be held at over 300 Eidgahs, mosques and open places in all eight Talukas of Hyderabad district, including Hyderabad City, Latifabad, Qasimabad, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammed Khan, Hala and Matiari.
The main Eid congregations will be held at Eidgah Thandi Sarak, Eidgah Cantonment and Masjid Abul Fazal Abbas, where thousands of Muslims will offer Eid prayers.
The local administration has made adequate arrangements for maintenance of law and order, and offal collection.
Three emergency centres have been set up by Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) in order to ensure the uninterrupted water supply to the citizens of Hyderabad City, Latifabad and Qasimabad Talukas.
The Taluka municipal administrations of all eight Talukas of Hyderabad district also finalised the sanitation plan in order to ensure cleanliness during Eid days.
