The Eid-ul-Azha shopping reached its climax on Sunday night with record purchases of clothing, children's wear, shoes, bangles and various other goods besides sacrificial animals.
The heavy rush is seen for the purchase of sacrificial animals from points beyond Sohrab Goth on the Super Highway.
The demand for mutton and beef have increased following the scare caused by Bird flu.
In the Saddar, Empress Market, Clifton, PECHS and other shopping areas there was a big rush witnessed in the day and till late in the night buyers come for the last minute Eid shopping.
