Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat has said a delegation will travel to Afghanistan soon after Eid to finalise the training and assistance to their armed forces and police personnel.
In an interview with Voice of America VOA, the minister said a delegation is going to Kabul led by Commandant National Police Academy immediately after Eid to discuss and finalise the training matters with them.
Pakistan has offered to the Afghan government, technical professional assistance training to their armed forces and police personnel.
To a question, he said out of US$ 100 million which has been earmarked for Afghanistan by Pakistan $10 million have been allocated for police.
Responding to a question, the minister said Pakistan had almost secured its border with Afghanistan and it was not possible for Al Qaeda or Taleban remnants to take shelter in the area.
