Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ) on Saturday held a protest meeting to press the government to hold trial of murderer of journalist Sajid Tanuli in Terrorist Court.
The protest held at Lahore Press Club was addressed by PUJ President Bakhtgir Chaudhry, General Secretary Jalil Hassan Akhtar Raja, Senior Vice President Shahbaz Anwar Khan, Ch Khadim Hussain Member Federal Council, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and others.
Speakers' also lamenting murder of a journalist in Sukkur earlier this year, asked the government to give an exemplary punishment to the murderers of Sindh journalist.
Journalists during the protest critical of rise in terrorism against journalists in the country asked government to give due protection to journalists in performance of their duties.
