World Social Forum was an open meeting place for democratic debate of ideas, inter linking for effective action and movements of civil society that directed fruitful relationships among mankind.
Executive Director ASR Nighat Saeed Khan said this while addressing a press conference here on Saturday.
She said that ASR had organised four workshops and seminars in World Social Forum (WSF) held recently at Mumbai.
Around 1,000 people participated in the seminar "Women in conflict situation", while another workshop on "Fundamentalism Left Right Center" was also hosted by ASR at WSF.
ASR also participated in cultural performances in closing ceremony of WSF, she said.
Nighat stated that WSF would create new links among different organisations. She added that one must learn to respect ones culture and thinking.
Faisal Baloch from Quetta, Muhammad Ishaq from Gawadar, Sara Salejo from Sindh also spoke.
