Defence Minister Sikander Iqbal said here on Monday that Airports Security Force (ASF) capacity would be further upgraded through modern training and providing them sophisticated equipment to combat every possible risk to aviation industry.
"Today, I announce Rs 0.2 million grant for ASF and will recommend to my Ministry more grant and professional support for them," said the Minister while talking to newsmen during his visit to ASF Headquarters here.
He appreciated the efforts being made to train ASF personnel and improvement achieved in their operational efficiency and behaviour with the passengers.
Earlier, he was given a detailed briefing by ASF Commander, Brigadier Javed Iqbal Sattar, on operational and administrative aspects of the force.
