Justice Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice to a petitioner for mis-statement before the court.
The court dismissed the petition, and passed the order on a contempt plea filed by the petitioner against the DPO Sheikhupura.
The petitioner earlier, appearing before the court had stated that the order passed by the court regarding his (petitioner) resolution of grievance was not complied with by the DPO.
The DPO, appearing in person, said the court order was fully complied with soon after its issuance.
The court observed that the statement of the DPO shows that the respondent had obeyed the court order and the petitioner made a mis-statement before the court.
The petition was filed by Naik Mohammad through Khadim Hussain Zaidi.
