After the release of much-awaited fund from the Sindh Government under Annual Development Programme (ADP), the CDGK has invited tenders for 29 development projects of Tameer-e-Karachi Programme (TKP) on Wednesday.
According to the terms and conditions of the tenders the tender documents will strictly be issued to only those contractors/firms who will be able to provide evidence of enlistment of their firm in the concerned organisation along with the registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
The selected contractors who will not submit the agreement papers and will not be ready to execute the work within their quoted cost then not only their earnest money will be forfeited but also their firm will be blacklisted from all departments of CDGK.
These development projects include installation and commissioning of 500 KVA diesel generating set at sewage treatment plant no. II (Mahmoodabad), road restoration and laying of sewerage line at Malir Halt, laying of sewer pipe for bypassing storm water drain and road restoration at Shah Faisal Town, improvement of sewerage system and road restoration at Metrovile, SITE, laying and replacement of sewer line and road restoration at North Nazimabad, cleaning/desilting of trunk sewer and construction of intermediate manholes and road restoration at Ranchore Lane, improvement of sewerage system and road restoration of Bohri Bazar and adjoining area, replacement of unserviceable sewer line and road restoration of Behar Colony, Lyari, improvement of sewerage system and road restoration of Shireen Jinnah Colony, road restoration and by pass of storm water drain from block 6, PECHS to Tipu Sultan road.
Renovation of sewerage system of Maymarabad, Gadap Town, desilting and cleaning along with by pass of sewerage line in Gulshan-e-Iqbal town, replacement of sewerage line from Expo Centre to Masjid-e-Baitul Mukarram, University Road, improvement of sewerage system of New Karachi Town, rehabilitation of sub trunk sewer at S.M. Taufiq Road, Liaquatabad Town, rehabilitation of sub trunk sewer from Nazimabad Flyover to Shahrah-e-Ibnesina, laying of fibre cement sewer line in Gulberg Town. While the road restoration remains mandatory part of all these schemes.
The other development schemes which do not include road restoration plan are laying of fibre cement sewer line near MPA Hostel in block 8, Gulberg Town, laying of fibre cement sewer line from Jinnah Ground to Lal Killa, Gulberg Town, construction of covered drain from Gulshan-e-Behar to Ali Nagar Orangi Town, laying pressure pipe from T&C Reservoir to Chansesar Goth for improvement of water supply, cleaning/desilting of trunk sewer, Lyari, cleaning/desilting from Shaheen Chowk Nawalane to Jamila Pumping Station, Lyari, cleaning/desilting from Nagman Masjid to Lyari Central Hospital, cleaning/desilting of 24" dia line from Mirza Adam Khan Road to Juna Masjid Pumping Station in Lyari, laying of sewerage line for making connection with the existing sewerage lines for Model Colony, Malir Town, desilting of existing sewerage lines in Model Colony, cleaning of existing Malir Trunk Sewer and cleaning/desilting of main trunk sewer along with construction of intermediate manholes at Gadap Town.
