The Punjab government has planned to give plots to the destitute people and given direction to the revenue department for identifying places for allocation of land for the purpose.
Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi stated this while speaking in a public meeting held at Township on Friday, in connection with the provision of flour at cheap rates to needy and poor.
Pervaiz said that 300,000 families in the province would benefit from facility of cheap Atta (Flour).
On the occasion, the CM asserted that sewerage system of the area would be improved with the cost of Rs 120 million in six months and announced to establish a degree college in the Township and completion of Katcha Jail Road.
Pledging to take party workers along in development endeavours in the province, he stated that party would give due representation to women.
He said it was the first time that Christmas cake was cut in his official premises.
Dilating on presidential vote of confidence, he said it would go a long way in ushering in an era of economic and political stability in the country.
Pervaiz stated that giving respite to poor is his prime objective and the government had established a special complaint cell at Chief Minister's House to redress their grievances.
He warned policemen, involved in delaying tactics and creating hindrance in the provision of justice to poor, of severe implication during his address.
Provincial Ministers Arshad Khan Lodhi, Chaudhry Iqbal, Abdul Aleem Khan, and District Nazim, Mian Amir also spoke on the occasion.
