MULTAN: Road carpeting on metro ground track lying at Bosan Road and Kumharan Wala areas will be started from February 12, director engineering Khalid Pervaiz informed this on Saturday.
Plant and material preparation has got started, he said and adding that work on girder installation at Vehari road also been started. He vowed to complete the project sharply.
Director Khalid said that 800 launching pads for package five constituted of Allah Wasaya chowk to Kumharanwala intersection had been imported from Europe, while 300 girders were ready to install.
He said the SMC Construction Company had launched 200 girders on the track starting from Allah Wala chowk, while ZKB Company completed its working on girder launching from Emerson College to Old Tehsil.
He said that two construction companies had also initiated working on deck slab (public roofing) at the places concerned.
