LAHORE: Speaker Balochistan Assembly Raheela Durrani called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here on Wednesday.
Matters of mutual interest, measures for empowerment of women and promotion of inter-provincial harmony were discussed in the meeting.
Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Raheela Durrani on taking over responsibilities as Speaker Balochistan Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Pakistani women were hard-working and talented and they had proved their abilities in different fields of life.
He said that the dream of development could not be materialized without participation of women in practical life and Punjab government had taken revolutionary steps for empowerment of women. He said, "Quota of jobs for women has been increased and women have to play an active role for progress and prosperity of the country."
Speaker Balochistan Assembly Raheela Durrani said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had taken historic steps for the empowerment of women.
