Emir of Kuwait welcomes Pakistan efforts to ease tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah has welcomed Pakistani "good offices efforts on Iran-Saudi Arabia diplomatic row" and hoped peace and stability would be restored after de-escalation between the two countries.

The Kuwaiti Emir made these remarks during a recent meeting with minister of information, Managing Director of Kuwaiti News Agency, Editors-In-Chief of local media and members of Press Association, a message from Kuwait quoting IRNA said here Tuesday.

He said that "under the current critical situation in the region, the regional governments need unity and public convergence more than ever."
