imageThe game will create another history as the historic game will be played with pink cricket ball for the first time in an international game and it will be played between Australia and New Zealand on Friday.

Brett Elliot, the Kookaburra managing director, has said that the pink ball is as hard as the red and white balls but an additional dye is added to improve the brightness of the ball, which is believed to promote swing as well, foreign media reported.

According to Mirror report, New Zealand Captain Brendon McCullum said, “I think there is a lot being made that it is almost unplayable under lights, but I think it is just a bit more challenging during those times. It doesn’t mean you can’t get runs, doesn’t mean you can’t survive.”

"And for us to play in front of 40,000-odd people in a Test match is pretty amazing, so we're really, really excited about it,” McCulllum added.

Both teams are now relishing the opportunity to be part of history. The pink balls have been specifically designed for the day-night matches; After 138 years, for the first time, the five-day game will be played under lights.
