imageFormer captains and Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s official ambassadors Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja are optimistic about the tournament’s future.

According to local media report, Akram, who has been appointed as the league's brand ambassador along with Ramiz Raja, stated that he was excited about PSL, insisting that Pakistan cricketers and the coaching staff would gain valuable experience from the league besides getting financial benefits.

“In Pakistan there is great passion for the game of cricket due to which we are really excited about the PSL. It is an honour for me to get appointed as the brand ambassador of the PSL,” the former fast bowler added.

Both ambassadors said they are confident the league would be able to compete with other top leagues around the world within a few years. The PSL is slated to be held next year in Doha in February.
