imageLONDON: Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy won't play again in the 2015 Super League season after the Australian was hit with a six-match suspension on Tuesday.

Former Cronulla player Pomeroy was sent off, for the second time in three matches, for a dangerous throw on Castleford centre Ashley Gibson during the Dragons' 44-26 win over the Tigers in Perpignan on Saturday.

It was the 31-year-old's first game back from a one-match suspension imposed for a shoulder charge in a match against St Helens earlier this month.

Pomeroy, who was charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel with a grade E offence, pleaded guilty when he faced a disciplinary tribunal.

The Australian, who is out of contract at the end of the year, will miss the Catalans' remaining four matches of the Super 8s and the suspension will be carried over into next season.
