imageA year ago, Lionel Messi led Argentina to the World Cup final but unfortunately lost the battle. Now, Messi is all pumped up to win the Copa America title with his national team. Messi was awarded ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ in World Cup 2014 but it didn’t compensate for the loss against Germany.

He recently said in an interview, “I’d love to win the Copa America for everything it would mean for us after enjoying a spectacular World Cup and coming so close. Winning the Copa would round off something spectacular. I really want to win something with the national team,” Goal.com reported.

“It’s what I dream of. Winning the Copa America would us some give peace of mind for the coming World Cup qualifiers. Not only for my team-mates, for the coach and for me, but for the country, too. The fans also want us to succeed. I would give everything to win the Copa America,” he added.

Copa America is probably as hard to win as the last World Cup as Argentina prepares to take on Chile at their home ground Estadio Nacional on Saturday.
