2015 is a year of blockbusters. We have everything from action, drama, comic book flicks and even video game adaptations. There is a lot more to expect this year for moviegoers. Here is the list of 8 most anticipated Hollywood flicks expected to release this summer.
Furious 7
‘Fast & Furious 7’ or ‘Furious 7’ is one of the most anticipated movies of 2015 set to release over this weekend. It’s an action thriller with Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and new baddie Jason Statham. It will also mark the final appearance of late Paul Walker. Early box office analysts are predicting that the film could open strongly in the United States and Canada in its opening weekend.
Avengers; Age of Ultron
‘Avengers; Age of Ultron’ is a superhero comic book flick and a sequel to 2012 ‘The Avengers’. It will feature an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner among others. The group of Avengers will fight together to defeat a technological enemy bent on human extinction. The movie is slated to release on May 1 this year.
Jurassic World
Jurrasic World is an upcoming sci-fi adventurous movie which will feature fully functional dinosaur-themed park. The park’s geneticists have created a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur which is creating ‘big’ trouble for the visitors. The movie will hit theatres on June 12.
Ted 2
‘Ted 2’ is a comedy flick and a sequel of one of the highest grossing movie of 2012 ‘Ted’. The foul-mouthed bear will be back on-screen with his friend Seth MacFarlane on June 26, 2015.
Terminator Genisys
Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role of ‘Terminator’ in the fifth installment of Terminator series. He will be joined by Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke in a sci-fi action movie. Hopefully this time he won’t disappoint us like previous installment ‘Terminator Salvation’. The movie will hit theatres on July 1, 2015.
Minions
‘Minions’ is an animated comedy movie and a prequel to ‘Despicable Me’ (2010) and ‘Despicable Me 2’ (2013). Minions have only one purpose to live: to serve history’s most despicable masters. After destroying all their masters, including a T. Rex, Genghis Khan, Napoleon and Dracula they have now decided to isolate themselves from the world and start a new life in Antarctica. It will hit theatres on July 10.
Mission Impossible; Rogue Nation
Popular action/spy thriller ‘Mission Impossible 5’ is back with another secret mission. Tom Cruise will reprise his role of Ethan Hunt in the next installment of ‘Mission Impossible’ series. He will assemble his team for the most difficult mission to date. The official trailer of the movie is out and looks quite promising. The movie has been slated to release on July 31.
Fantastic Four
‘Fantastic Four’ is a Marvels superhero film starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell. The ‘Fantastic Four’ is learning to harness abilities from an alternate universe to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy who is planning something really destructive. It will hit theatres on August 7.
