The most prophetic showpiece tournament is officially going to bang-on tomorrow. Cricket fans are desperate to watch the very first ball hit the ground. Teams are hopeful and prepared to flash the lights and spread colors in the historical event.
The first match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be played between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at 3:00 am (PST) in Hagley ground.
New Zealand team led by Brendon McCullum is ready to give a valentine gift to his nation. According to foreign media reports, McCullum said while practicing in Hagley ground, “It’s the best-prepared team, all-round team, we tick most boxes”.
He seemed quite confident about his team while talking to foreign media, “Overall we've got a nice mix of youth and experience. It's a team I'm really comfortable taking into a World Cup and we give ourselves a good chance,” he added.
McCullum called Malinga ‘a death bowler’ and Sri Lanka is a stronger team with Lasith Malinga's involvement. He also added, “You always hoped things would work out well but did you genuinely believe it? maybe, maybe not. But, we believe (this) is a good cricket team and we believe we have a chance in this World Cup”.
He also declared that any of the top eight nations can win the prestigious trophy of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
