175 suspects nabbed, security inspections of 1173 educational institutes carried out

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in the ongoing search and strike operation though out the province against criminals and anti-social elements has rounded 175 suspects and recovered huge quantity of Arms and ammunition.

According to police statement here Thursday, security inspections of 1173 educational institution were also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up security arrangements. During the operation, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the operation conducted in different parts of the province recovered 15 arms and ammunition of different kinds and 222 rounds of different bore. As many as 652 houses and 205 hotels were checked and 11 cases were registered against the violators during the operation.

During snap checking on 135 check points, 299 suspects were held and recovered eight arms of different kinds and 94 cartridges of different bore.

During action against illegal Afghans a total of 74 persons were detained on violation and 36 cases were registered against them.

Similarly 88 persons were arrested on violation of illegal use of loudspeaker and 97 loudspeaker were hold while 89 cases were registered against the violators. Similarly 24 hate martial were seized and 23 cases registered against 12 persons.
