Shahrukh Khan’s big release ‘Happy New Year’ has been rocking box office since its opening day. The multi starrer movie has crossed 100 crore mark within three days of its release.
‘Happy New Year’ has broken all the previous records on its initial release by making Rs 45 crore on day 1. However, the next two days business was comparatively low than expected.
Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ still managed to rope in excellent collection of Rs 38 crores on Saturday, followed by Rs 25.89 crores (approx) on Sunday with almost 90 percent occupancy. Thus, it has entered the 100 crore club with a grand first weekend Box Office collection of Rs 108.86 crores in just three days, becoming one of the fastest Rs 100 crore earning Bollywood film in the domestic market, Indian media reported.
Directed by Farah Khan, the movie has received mixed reviews from the audience but still it didn’t affect much on its profit figures.
The movie stars Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Iraani and Vivaan Shah in the lead roles.
