imageKARACHI: The elected representatives of Pakistan Muslim League- Functional (PML-F) have reiterated their full support to the democracy and supremacy of the Constitution.

A meeting chaired PML-F Chief Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi expressed concern over the prevailing political situation and stressed the need for early resolution of the political impasse through dialogues.

The meeting, held here on Friday was attended by the MNAs, MPAs and senior leaders of the party.

PML-F chief said that it is high time that all political forces should unite to ensure continuity of the democratic system in the country.

The elected representatives expressed firm resolve that they will strongly resist any move to derail democracy in the country.

They urged all the parties to resolve the present political impasse through dialogues as early as possible.

The meeting also demanded of the government to conduct local bodies elections on the basis of fresh census so that empowerment at grass root level be witnessed.
