The Dutch artist brought giant white rabbit to Taiwan for their cultural art festival. It’s an 82-foot-high white rabbit who’s leaning against an old aircraft hangar.
Florentijin Hofman’s giant yellow duck drew millions of visitors when it toured Taiwan last year, and the organizers of the Arts Festival are hoping the huge rabbit will have the same effect, media reported.
The big fat rabbit has also been designed by the same Dutch artist who has designed giant yellow duck last year. The giant white rabbit seems to be enjoying the grass and the sun as it lounges on a slope, is part of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival or ‘Moon Festival’ in celebration of the harvest season.
According to Chinese tradition, a rabbit is sent to live on the moon as a reward after he has proved his selflessness to the gods. That’s why they have put up a large rabbit on their grass field as a good luck for their upcoming art festival.
The art festival will start from September 9 and will continue till September 14, 2014.
