Two Bollywood ace directors Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty have joined hands to bring back the magic of the super hit movie ‘Ram Lakhan’ in 1989. Ram Lakhan will be made in association with ‘Mukta Arts’ founded by Subhash Ghai.
Karan Johar introduced Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in ‘Student of The Year’. ‘Ram Lakhan’ will be their second film together.
The 1989 movie featured Jackie Shroff as’ Ram’ and Anil Kapoor as ‘Lakhan’. The movie also featured Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, but there is no news on the leading ladies of the remake of ‘Ram Lakhan’.
According to media reports, “Looking at the grand collaboration of two big wigs of Bollywood, Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar this remake will sure win many hearts as it did with the original in 1989.
‘Ram Lakhan’ is the story of two brothers who part ways due to their ideological differences, but how they come to each other's rescue as the story unfolds. It was directed and produced by Subhash Ghai.
It will be interesting to see two leading directors collaborate to make an iconic remake of Anil Kapoor’s evergreen movie.
