hafeez KARACHI: Pakistan opener Muhammad Hafeez on Sunday dispelled the impression that he was in any way interested in becoming captain.

"My job is to perform well for the country as a player, I am not interested in captaincy," he clarified on Sunday. My job is to do my best as a batsman, bowler and fielder," he added. My interview has been misinterpreted and misreported.

He thanked former test cricketers, media, well wishers and fans, who see him as future Pakistan Captain.

"Every thing comes from Allah if that is my destiny I will bow to it," However he said it was up to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) if they think I am capable and good enough to do the job in future.
