NEW YORK: US 30-year Treasury bonds traded over a point higher in price on Friday as worries over the pace of economic recovery and falling stocks bolstered the safe-haven value of government debt.
The 30-year bond was trading 1-2/32 higher in price to yield 4.17 percent, down from 4.23 percent late on Thursday, while the benchmark 10-year note was 16/32 higher to yield 2.94 percent from 3.00 percent.
