imageABBOTTABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Peshawar arrested three employees of Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) including one from regional FBR office Abbottabad and two from Islamabad who were allegedly involved in 160 million fake refund cases.

According to the details, NAB Peshawar arrested Asif Haider Orakzai from Income Tax Commissioner Abbottabad and two other suspects Muhammad Siddique and Muhammad Haroon from Islamabad.

The three employees took the signed cheque books from earthquake victims of 2005 and promised them to get financial assistance from government for them.

The imposters claimed fake tax refund of amount 160 million rupees on account of those victims from national treasury.

After initial investigation NAB arrested the three culprits and shifted them to Peshawar to get physical remand of them from court.

NAB have started search operation for some other people who are involved in this scandal also.
