ABU DHABI: Pakistan reached 77-0 in their first innings at lunch in reply to South Africa's 249 on the second day of the first Test in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Openers Khurram Manzoor and Shan Masood were unbeaten at the break on 41 and 36 respectively.
South Africa, who resumed at 245-8, lost Hashim Amla (118) off the second ball of the day and managed to add just four runs before being bowled out.
Mohammad Irfan finished with 3-44 while left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar took 3-89.
