ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Dr Fahmida Mirza on Saturday congratulated the people and parliamentarians for running the assembly for five years with success.
She said it was a difficult forum to move all the affairs of the assembly with success.
She appreciated all the members for cooperation and smooth functioning of this national forum.
Talking to state television, she said that the party is going to prepare for the next elections.
Dr Fahmida Mirza said that there was a lot of challenges and problems, adding that many issues confronted the nation have been resolved with the support of the masses and parliamentarians.
Replying to a question she said "We are preparing for next elections and hoped that the people will vote for the party again."
Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi said that people will decide and choose their representatives who performed and worked for the welfare of the country.
Expressing his heartfelt greetings on completion of five years time of the government, he said that during this period, political maturity and tolerance were seen in the parties.
