Hot weather to prevail across Sindh, Balochistan

KARACHI: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in Sindh and Balochistan. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir, Pothohar region and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

"Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country," it said.

In the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very hot in central and southern parts. Chakwal received 2mm of rainfall and Bagrote 1mm.

The highest temperature was recorded in Dadu 50 degrees Celsius followed by Mohenjodaro 49 and Jacobabad 48 degrees Celsius.
