Little chances of ending lockdown on April 14, says Sheikh Rasheed

(Karachi) Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that there are little chances of ending lockdown in the country on April 14.

Addressing a press briefing on Wednesday, he said that if the government removes lockdown and restrictions then Pakistan Railways could commence operation of 20 to 22 trains. He added that freight trains are being operated as planned.

The railways minister mentioned that the PR has decided to seal its Mughalpura workshop after a person who had visited the premises tested positive for coronavirus.

He said, "We have sealed the workshop till April 12 so that we can get things at the workshop in order and take the necessary precautions."

To a question over wheat, sugar scam, Rasheed said the action will not affect relations between Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen. He pointed out that the fate of those involved in the scandal will be decided on April 25 after release of committess's report.
