The opposition parties strongly condemned violation of Line of Control (LoC) by Indian aircraft and said that the whole nation is united and stands behind Pakistan armed forces against any aggression of Indian forces.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the Indian intrusion in Pakistani territory and said, "India has chosen to respond to a home-grown, organic freedom fighters attack in Indian occupied Kashmir by conducting air strikes on Pakistani soil for the first time since 1971. This outrageous and unprecedented act of aggression should be condemned internationally. Pakistan is well within its right to retaliate."
He said in a statement on Tuesday that the whole nation stands with the country's brave soldiers who are ready to respond to any scenario. They risk their lives on a daily basis to keep all safe. It is atrocious that the extremist Hindu government of the so-called largest democracy in the world would risk provoking war between two nuclear armed states to feed war hysteria at home and help with Modi's re-election campaign, he added.
The PPP chairman said that he is pleased that the opposition has called for a joint session of the Parliament which is an appropriate forum for all decisions to be made. While the whole nation will stand united with whatever decision is taken; it is important for Pakistan to be cautious, he added.
"We don't want to play into Modi's hands. Proponents of peace in the region on both the sides of border must join in calling for cooler heads to prevail. The innocent people of India and Pakistan will be the collateral damage to any misadventure," he added. Bilawal said that extremist group of India has become threat to peace in this region.
Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the violation of the LoC by Indian military aircraft and said that the Indian government should not remain in misunderstanding that "we would only criticize this aggression and our military force would not give reaction on it." He said, "India should not consider [Pakistan's] peaceful policy as its weakness. Modi should not disrupt regional stability just to win elections."
He said in a statement that every person of the nation stands with the military of Pakistan. He said that India should be prepared to face consequences. He said that Pakistan wants to maintain peace in the region. He said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and it wants peace in the region.
Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif also urged the Indian leadership to refrain from plunging region into war. He in a statement warned if India initiates a war then Pakistan would hoist its flag in New Delhi.
"On one hand, Modi is washing poor people's feet while on the other, innocent Kashmiri blood is spilling," Shahbaz said and urged Modi not to plunge the innocent people of South Asia into a war. "The Indian leadership should come to its senses and act responsibly and should not [plunge] the people of South Asia into war," he said.
Shahbaz further warned that India should not take Pakistan's patience as its weakness. "It will be a significant mistake on the Indian side to take Pakistan's stance as weakness." He added that the entire nation stands with Pakistan Armed Forces. "Our army is skilled and its example of bravery is in front of everyone. We are proud of it," Shahbaz remarked. "I am ready to go to war and shed blood for my country," he added.
