Altaf Hussain, head of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday announced to move Supreme Court to file a fresh petition against the missing persons in Karachi. Addressing the MQM workers at Lal Qila Ground, Altaf said that no suo moto notice was taken nor any commission was formed over the issue of missing MQM workers. He claimed that conspiracy is being hatched in Islamabad against him.
The MQM chief further stated that the party always respected the military, adding that the personnel of the army, Rangers and police are sons of the soil. Criticising the members of the MQM's co-ordination committee, Altaf said that some of them are leading extravagant lives abroad. He asked the workers as to what he should do if the members of co-ordination committee leave him alone. He directed the co-ordination committee to hold a record-breaking rally within a week against the "victimisation of MQM activists".
