The unofficial ban on Pakistani artiste in India has been keeping them away from their movie promotions and other cross-border interactions. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was not able to promote her Bollywood debut film, Raees starring Shah Rukh Khan, in person. But as per the latest buzz, the actor will now promote her Big Bollywood debut soon.
The film makers have apparently found a way out for Mahira to be a part of the film promotions and according to a report in Mid-Day, she will be giving interviews via Skype.
The Raj Thackeray-led MNS threatened Pakistani artists to leave India and urged the Indian film industry to boycott artists from the neighbouring country. As a result, Fawad Khan could not promote his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in India and had to leave for Pakistan. Same was the case with Mahira, but seems like SRK has found a smart tactic to bring Pakistani actress to India.
SRK, who is known as a 'Marketing genius' sell his movies like no one else. Shah Rukh though has never been the conventional sort, and with his new film, hes hardly settling for any less.
As of now, the actress will be giving interviews through Skype. So far, Shah Rukh Khan is promoting the movie solely in India due to Mahira's absence. She is however promoting her upcoming release through her official Twitter handle.
The movie which also feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a prominent role, will hit theaters on January 25.
