Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar has said that the provincial cabinet will be expanded further in due course of time.
Talking to APP at the Governor House on Thursday after the oath-taking ceremony of two new ministers, he said that between three to four more ministers would be inducted in the provincial cabinet.
The chief minister further stated that no minister in the existing provincial cabinet would lose job.
He said that two new ministers have taken oath of office today (Thursday) and 'there is room for induction of some more ministers.'
Mahar pointed out that people keep joining the ruling coalition in the province and 'our strength is increasing.'
"We intend to bring in good people in the provincial cabinet," he said and pointed out that the expansion in the provincial cabinet has been made through consultation.
To a question, he said, "if a need is felt then the portfolios of the ministers may be changed."
Mahar recalled when the strength of the House was 110, there were 26 ministers in the provincial cabinet, and now the total strength of the Sindh Assembly members is 168 and 'as such, there is a room for expanding the provincial cabinet to 40'.
