imagePakistani cricket team’s former head coach Waqar Younis feels that Pakistan cricket would not improve unless and until stern steps are taken to fix the domestic cricket.

According to local media report, “I will have been pleased if progress was made on my recommendations,” Waqar said while talking to a local news channel.

Waqar, who had resigned as Pakistan’s coach three months before his
contract was going to end on June 30, said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) needs to improve domestic cricket first.

Pakistan hasn’t had a successful run in recent times. After a dismal performance in the Asia Cup and the ICC World Twenty20 in India, Waqar Younis stepped down from their respective position.

The PCB has appointed Mickey Arthur as Pakistan's head coach. He fills the role vacated by Waqar Younis' resignation in April, following Pakistan's early exit from the World T20. Waqar expressed that Arthur’s emphasis should be on discipline which the pace bowling icon said would benefit Pakistan team.
