Dinamo Zagreb secure 11th consecutive title

ZAGREB: Dinamo Zagreb secured their 11th consecutive Croatian title after their rivals Rijeka played out a 0-0 draw with RNK Spilt late Sunday.

With two games still to play, Dinamo Zagreb now have 79 points, six more than second-placed Rijeka, and have the better of the head-to-head record.

"Eleven years is an impressive series," the champions' coach Zoran Mamic said, hailing the title.

Dinamo Zagreb have now won 18 Croatian championships since Croatia's independence from the former Yugoslavia in 1991, also winning the national Cup 13 times.
