imageKARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port where four ships C. Maersk Kinloss, M.T Omero Queen, M.T Orient Jasmine and M.t Sea Charming carrying containers, Coal, Furnace oil and chemicals were berthed at Qasim International container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Tuesday, 5th April-2016.

Meanwhile another LNG carrier `Al-Saflia' also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was recorded at the Port at 73% on Tuesday where a total of eleven ships namely C. Maersk Kinloss, C.V E.R yokohama, M.V Sea Wave, M.V Hen Feng, M.V Lake St Clair, M.T Omera Queen, M.T Orient Jasmine, M.T Sea Charming, to load/offload Containers, Cement, Project cargo, Coal, Wheat, Palm oil, Chemicals and Furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 105,330 tonnes, comprising 84,183 tonnes imports and 21,147 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,359 Containers (TEUs) (1,383 TEUs imports & 976 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Four ships C.Maersk Kinloss, M.V Hen Feng, M.T Sea charming and M.T Ocean Coral are expected to sail on Wednesday (today).

Three ships C. MSC Maeva, M.T Al-Saflia and M.T central Park carrying Containers, LNG and Phosphoric Acid are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Elengy Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 6th April-2016.

While C.V CMA CGM Carmen and M.V Kong Que Song are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day and C.V CMA CGM Maussant is due to arrive on Thursday, 7th April-2016.
