Pakistan’s most experienced player Younis Khan is all set to become the highest scorer in Test cricket. He is 506 runs away to own a new record for him.
According to local media reports, currently legendary Javed Miandad is the leading run scorer for Pakistan in Test cricket scoring 8832 runs in 124 matches while Inzamam-ul-Haq is second on the list with 8829 runs in 120 matches. On the other hand Younis has played only 96 matches so far and 8327 runs at an impressive average of 53.37.
Previously, he made a record of ‘most centuries’ for Pakistan. Now his next aim is to break the record of legendary Pakistani cricketers.
Pakistan cricket team, who is going through a tough time, is now depending on veteran Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan for the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh. Pakistan suffered a whitewash by Bangladesh in the one-day series and subsequently incurred their first-ever defeat against the Asian rivals in a T20 international.
So far, the Bangladesh tour has been quite disappointing for Pakistan cricket team.
