ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has felicitated the people and government of United Arab Emirates on their national day.
"Pakistanis share the happy moment with their brethren with great pride," Dar said while talking to the UAE ambassador Essa Abdulla Albasha Al-Noaimi at a reception arranged to celebrate the national day here.
He said Pakistan and UAE share common bonds of Islamic brotherhood and have a long history of cooperation in various fields adding Pakistan deeply cherishes its friendship with UAE.
The Minister, along with the ambassador and other dignitaries, cut the cake, marking the UAE national day ceremony.
Among others, the gathering was attended by diplomats, socialites, political personalities other notables and media.
On the occasion, Ambassador Abdulla Albasha Al-Noaimi said that friendship between the two countries would further grow in years to come.
